I haven't done a Sunday Social post in a while, so I figured I would participate this week. :)

1 // What is your favorite scary movie?

I hate scary movies, so I couldn't possibly have a favorite. I hate being scared and I think horror movies and stuff like that is completely stupid. 

2 // What is your favorite weird TV show that you think no one else watches?

I don't watch a single show at all that I think no one else watches...if I were the only person watching it, they wouldn't have it on the air. But apart from that, I can sometimes really easily get sucked into Wife Swap and Dance Moms. I think that's about it though. I don't have time to watch much TV. 

3 // What is the song you can sing all the words to without music?

Oh there are probably a few, but lately I've been rocking "Better Dig Two" by The Band Perry at every available opportunity. 

4 // What is your favorite book to reread? 

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, or The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom.

5 // What is the one website you visit more times a day than any others? 

The time tracker website I use to track my hours for work. How boring am I?? Ha.

1. Who do you call when you need to vent? Boyfriend, my dad, or Dedra, depending on the topic
2. Where do you go when you need alone time? My office usually
3. What is your favorite alone time activity? Reading or watching TV or writing
4. What is something we should all stop and read right now? An old-school etiquette book so maybe people could start behaving like ladies and gentlemen again instead of like hoodlums. 
5. Who do you wish would read your blog that doesn’t already? Family? Celeb? No one really. If someone wants to read my blog, that's great. If they don't, that's perfectly fine too.

1 // What is your ideal way to relax? 
Go for a long walk with Boyfriend or get lost in a good book

2 // Where is your favorite place to be?
My office, generally. If I can't be hanging out on a beach with Boyfriend and fruity umbrella drinks. ;) 

3 // Who do you consider your biggest role model?
My dad for sure

4 // What does your life look like in three years?
Married, possibly a different job or at least a job that looks different than mine does right now, maaaaaybe a baby. I don't know...I'm at a very exciting point in my life right now - a lot can happen in the next few years. 

5 // If you could go back and change one decision, what would it be? 
There is one night when I should not have answered my phone....... So though I have learned a lot and grown from what happened after I did answer, if I could go back in time and change it, I'd do it in a heartbeat. 

6 // What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far? 
Probably going back to school and getting my AAS while also working full time, dealing with unemployment and two temporary jobs before finding a full time job, and moving four times in the 21 months it took.. I graduated with a 4.0, too, so I'm pretty proud of that.

1.) Top 3 things you can't go a day without doing: 

Reading something, brushing my teeth, and usually having some kind of caffeine. When Boyfriend is around, I give him a smooch every day, too. :)

2.) 3 things that scare you the most:
Slow and painful death for myself or anyone I love, centipedes (though I guess I'm not so much afraid of them as I just find them to be incredibly disgusting), and scorpions, I guess, since finding them in my house is a pretty real possibility considering where I live. *Side note: I just googled centipedes because I was going to find a picture of one to include here. That was a bad idea.*

3.) 3 places you want to see before you kick the bucket:
Australia, pretty much like, everywhere in Europe, Bora Bora

You've Got Mail, The Little Mermaid, and It's A Wonderful Life

5.) 3 favorite songs currently:
Here With Me (REO Speedwagon), Let It Go (Idina Menzel) and Talk Dirty (Jason Derulo). I feel the need to mention that I don't like Talk Dirty because it's such a great song (because it's really quite terrible), but because it's a Zumba song, and I loooove the dance we do to it.

1.) Biggest middle school fashion mistake?
UMMMM....pretty much every single thing I wore for the entire time frame. I looked and felt awful pretty much every day. There was the occasional outfit that made me feel cute, but mostly I was just a mess. Tapered jeans, huge shirts, big round glasses.. Thank goodness I don't have a picture, or I'd probably feel obligated to share it, and that would just be embarrassing. 

2.) Who were your best friends in high school?
Liz, Kristen, Caleb, and Daniel

3.) What was a typical weekend like for you in high school?
Pretty boring. On Saturdays, we did deep cleaning stuff around the house, and then I would read (which was fun) or catch up on school. Sundays were made up of church in the morning, reading/school in the afternoon, and then drama and Bible quizzing practice on Sunday nights...or at least on the nights when I wasn't grounded. Every once in a while I would go to Culver's after quizzing with the rest of the team, but I usually wasn't allowed. 

4.) Did you have any boyfriends? 
Well there was E, right after my missions trip the summer between sophomore and junior year.. that was strictly a pen-pal/phone relationship that lasted about two months before I was like, "uhh, this is stupid", and that was that. Also, C, my senior year. He was wonderful. 

5.) Did you have any secret codes with your friends? 
No, none that I can remember. 

6.) If you could relive one day/moment/experience from middle school or high school, what would it be?
Uh... Thanks, but I think I'll pass on that. It was a pretty awkward and difficult time for me, so I'd rather not go back and do it again.

1. Favorite breakfast food
This depends on the day - I don't think I really have a "favorite", per se. I do really like Boyfriend's egg sandwiches, and I'm also a pretty big fan of chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy a la Denny's or Perkins, though.

2. Best way to spend a free day
Outside, in sunshine. Partially spending it with someone I love, and also partially spending it completely alone with nothing but a book and an iced coffee for company.

3. Airline ticket to anywhere in the world...where would you go and why?
I'd go on a vacation to Bora Bora. The ocean always calms me, and sunshine, crystal clear waters, and bungalows just sounds like heaven to me right now

4. You can only leave the house with one thing...what is it?
My mom gave me a statue for Christmas a few years ago.. It's really special and meaningful to me, and also completely irreplaceable.

5.How do you take your coffee?
With lots of flavored creamer.. usually a French vanilla or vanilla caramel variety

Hey everybody! Happy Chinese New Year and Super Bowl Sunday! Do you know who you're rooting for to win? I'm more of a Bronco's fan myself, so I will be cheering for Denver today.

    Mascara, eyeliner, and chapstick. I know it's only three, but Idon't usually wear any more than that               anyway.

1. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? 
Oh boy...this is kind of a tough one. I love Cherry Garcia, by Ben and Jerry's, but I'm also a huge fan of peppermint stick, especially around the holidays. :)

2. What is your favorite smell? 
The smell of Boyfriend's body wash....winter candy apple candles from Bath and Body Works...Le Man cologne from Jean Paul Gaultier

3. What is your favorite TV commercial? (Past or present) 
"Keys to the internet...whaaaaat??"

4. What is your favorite day of the week? 
I really like Saturdays and Sundays - not just because they're the weekend, but because they're usually just very comfortable, chill days, and that is just really relaxing.

5. What is your favorite way to waste time? 
Technically, if I'm enjoying the time, then it's not a waste.. But that's beside the point. I enjoy putzing around on Pinterest, reading blogs, paging through Cosmopolitan magazine (I actually am less ashamed of my love for Cosmo lately - I really like the new editor!)..

6. What is your favorite article of clothing?
I have a monogrammed sweatshirt from Shop Crystal Faye that I adore. I also have a really, really cute asymmetrical black glittery dress that I love. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to wear it sometime soon..It's just so fun! And even though they're not technically *mine*, I am pretty much obsessed with Boyfriend's black sweatpants. :)

I haven't posted in over a week. It's not because I haven't wanted to, because believe me...I've wanted to. It's because I haven't been able to figure out what I wanted to say, or if I even wanted to say it. Once things are out there in the interwebs, they're impossible to take back. So I have erred on the side of discretion, which I've heard is the better part of valor. So sorry for the disappearance, and I'll try to do better. 

I do have some awesome content planned for this week though..And a really fun giveaway that I am SUPER excited about..it's an opportunity I've been trying to get for a long time, and I finally did, so I can't wait to share. :) 

I haven't participated in a Sunday Social for a while, so I figured I'd join in on it this week. It's kind of a fun way to get to know each other, don't you think?

Name 4 things you always carry with you: Generally speaking, I will have my phone, chapstick, my wallet, and keys, though sometimes I will leave my purse at home on purpose. 

Name 4 places you've been on vacation: Ummm I don't take a lot of vacations to interesting places. I grew up going to Nevada to visit my grandparents, and then when I lived in Nevada, I took a couple vacations back to Minnesota. And my family spent a week in San Diego playing on the beach one year, and we also had a Christmas vacation down in Florida, so I suppose those count too.

What is the best trip you’ve ever been on?

-          I went on a two month missions trip to the Philippines the summer after my sophomore years in high school, and that wins best trip, hands down. There were difficulties (huge insects, a general lack of decent plumbing, humidity), but the experience was incredible, and something that was absolutely worth every single hardship.

What is your best idea for a girl’s trip?

-          I think a beach trip would be awesome! Sand, sun, and drinks…how could you go wrong?!

What is your best idea for a couple’s trip?

-          A trip that combines a beach with awesome, surfable waves with a vineyard or winery! That way, we can enjoy the fun of a beach trip during the day, and then indulge in some delicious wine in the evening. Boyfriend and I both really enjoy water activities, and win, so a trip like this would be an absolute win-win for us!

What is the best vacation on the cheap?

-          Well this will always vary based on where and when you’re going. I would always suggest going somewhere during the off-season, though, to save on airfare and lodging. You may also be able to find some awesome trip deals on sites like Groupon or Living Social.

What is the place you most want to visit?

-          I want to tour Europe!! I want to see all the major places – London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome. I want to lay on a white sand beach in Greece, and tour the countryside of Eastern Europe. I want to put a lock on one of the bridges in Paris. Mostly I just want to be everywhere in Europe!!!

Sunday Social {Link-Up}

1. What is your favorite Social Media outlet?  ----- I'd have to say Facebook, since that's really the only one I use with any regularity. I use Pinterest too, but a lot less frequently now than I used to. I also use Instagram, but I don't post pictures, really, so much as I look at everyone else's. And I'm on Twitter, too, but I find it to be a ridiculously confusing and complicated interface that I have neither the time nor the inclination to really learn right now, so I mostly just ignore my Twitter.

2. Do you subscribe to any daily news reads? ----- Nope. I have Google News as my homepage, though, so I see headlines a lot, and I will check out cnn.com or nbc.com a lot, to see what they know.

3. Favorite magazine to have by the pool? ----- Cosmopolitan is still a guilty pleasure of mine, for no reason that I can actually articulate. I also enjoy reading HGTV magazine, and used to swipe my sister's copies when we still lived together. *sniff....I miss living with that little rascal...sniff*

4. Favorite summertime song? ----- Jake Owens' "Barefoot Blue Jean Night". Also, Keith Urban's "Where the Blacktop Ends", since that song always reminds me of running around barefoot "where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet", which is pretty much what I did all day, every day in the summer, since I grew up in the country.

5. Best summer concert you've been to? ----- I have really only been to one, so I guess that wins by default.... I went to a Rascal Flatts concert with my then-bf JD back in 2006. It was an outdoor concert, and The Wreckers and Gary Allan opened. We sat on a blanket on the amphitheater part of the arena, and had a blast. The only rotten part was that I had torn a tendon in my knee the week before, so I was on crutches and in a straight-leg brace, which made climbing the hill a lot more complicated and difficult than it should have been.
