Am I the Only One....Vol. 2

Because too often, it seems like Blogland is a sea of homogeny. You can read Vol. 1 here.

//////////////

Am I the only one...

....who doesn't really like peonies?

...who has absolutely zero qualms about posting on Instagram more than once a day?

...who isn't on some type of specific diet/workout/diet drink plan?

...who notices the complete narcissism of that is the hallmark of a lot of the "bigger" bloggers, and is kind of sick of it?*

...whose house is generally a mess?

...who really, truly, abhors one-word text messages?

...who drinks Kick Starts like they're getting paid to do it? (Seriously, Mountain Dew, if you need an ambassador...look my way, please).

...who spends pretty much all of their free time hanging out with the toddlers next door, because they don't really have any friends to hang out with in real life? (I feel somewhat obligated to mention here that the reason I don't have any friends is not because I'm a socially awkward freak [though that is true], it's because I work from home, and therefore never have an occasion to meet anyone.)

...who really enjoys cooking, but hates cooking for only one, so usually just skips it?

...who can't ever just park in the garage like a normal person, but has to park, and then run behind the car to make sure that they drove in far enough to close the garage door without hitting the car?

...who flat out refuses to participate in #ootd posts, and also secretly finds them kind of silly?

...who has never watched "Orange is the New Black"?

...who is totally and completely sick of Facebook?

What else? Is there anything that you think/do that makes you think you're the only person in all of the land who does it??

* Yes, I realize that blogging in and of itself is somewhat narcissistic, no matter what the size. The people I'm talking about here are people who, by their writing, make it look (at least to me) that they write for no other reason than to gain page views/followers.

  1. Ooh! You need the angry Walter meme. Also, I am completely on board with most of these. One word texts = irrational rage and I almost never cook for just me. It doesn't feel worth the time and effort.

Only one I can think right now: Am I the only one who thinks it's not a sin to have a non-white blog background?

  2. Let's see - You are not the only one who posts multiple photos a day to Instagram, whose house is a mess, who HATES one-word text messages, who won't post #ootd photos, and who hasn't watched Orange is the New Black. You aren't alone for a lot of those! :) :)

  3. I'm totally ranting about FB tomorrow on the humpday confessions linkup and I'm drafting a FB privacy post at the moment because my friends are socially media incompetent, so I, too, hate FB.
I totally work out to eat whatever the eff I want (and because I'm running a 1/2 marathon in Sept).
I watched one episode of OITNB and I didn't get it and gave up.
I agree that ootd posts are silly. Ain't nobody got time for that!

  5. Nope... my apt is a MESS right now. I just cleaned it yesterday, too! I kid you not... the place cannot stay clean for more than 24 hours at a time. I blame my 31 year old man child. ;P

  7. Nope, your not the only one. I am not, have never and probably will never be on any kind of diet/exercise plan. I LOVE to eat and I hate exercising. End of story!

My house is pretty much always a mess. I blame it on the two teenagers and two toddlers who live here. If I were honest I'd tell you that I'm super messy too though and cleaning is not a hobby of mine.

As far as Mountain Dew goes, rarely will you ever see me without one in my hand. Like seriously, it's what gets me through my day.

The only thing I have to disagree with is the OOTD posts. I'm totally guilty of doing those from time to time. If it makes it any better, my 3 year old is usually my photographer and my pictures are blurry & my outfits are boring :)
